Planning Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably Industrial Engineering).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in raw material planning, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Strong command of MS Office programs.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with a good planning attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• No travel restrictions.
• Residing in Istanbul.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Planning Engineer will be responsible for the timely and efficient procurement, planning, and management of raw materials needed to meet production demands. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that logistics operations are optimized to support the company’s production goals.

• Develop and maintain raw material inventory plans to meet production schedules.
• Analyse raw material usage data and provide regular reports on inventory levels, consumption trends, and forecast accuracy.
• Monitor raw material usage rates and forecast future needs.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other departments to ensure the availability of raw materials when needed.
• Monitor and manage raw material stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement strategies to minimize holding costs while ensuring production continuity.
• Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Track and report on the performance of logistics suppliers, including delivery times and accuracy.
• Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities in raw material planning and logistics.
• Prepare reports on raw material and logistics performance metrics for management.
• Plan and support savings projects in line with company goals and strategies, identifying and optimizing savings opportunities in supply planning, distribution, and storage processes.
